As students we stress about school, friends, work, and other activities that take up time. There are many different kinds of stress anda lot of ways to help with it.

Health teacher Peggy Caughey said, “You have to find outlets or interests, make sure you are doing what you love.” At Eric Digests website (ericdigests.com), it explains two types of stress. Hypervigilance is when someone panics from a stressful situation. Premature closure is when someone chooses simple answers to stressful situations.

Stress is a situation that causes negative feelings in a person. Many students perform worse under stress.

Most people stress out from a lack of time to do everyday tasks. According to Solutions for Stress (heartmath.org) it’s the feeling of not having enough time that causes stress. Learning how to change this negative feeling into a positive one will help the anxiety go away.

Having a sense of humor helps with the positive feelings. Don’t be so uptight about the things happening around, laugh a little. Mediation (project-meditation.org) is a way that calms the body. While doing mediation it decreases breathing, heart rate, and puts blood pressure back to normal. This is a very natural way to bring the body back to its normal state.

Music therapy is a very common way of relieving stress. The calming and slow sounds help the body, both physically and mentally. Also listening to your favorite type of slower and happier music will help you focus and stay unstressed.

Stress isn’t something that can be eliminated out of a person’s life. Find ways to relieve stress not get rid of it. Stress will always be there, cope with it.
