Dear Editor,
The newspaper for Riverton High School is very creative and they put a lot of effort into their pages. I am on the golf team, I just wanted to say I am proud that you guys mention stuff about the golf team. It means a lot to me and everyone else on the team. It’s good to wake up in the morning and read about the sports, it usually shows how the football team is doing and all of the other sports.
There are not just sports in there though. There are news articles about what is going on in the world. Riverton high is very lucky to have SilverScribe. Other schools don’t have anything like this. I’m glad to be a part of the school and the community.
Sincerely,
Austin Pierce, junior
Dear Editor,
I read the article “Multitasking Doesn’t save time,” by Heidi Stromberg. This article was great choice of topic, because so many teenagers believe that they are the best at multitasking.
The most common double task that I see every day is when people text and drive, they honestly believe that texting during class or during homework. I believed that I could text during homework with no problem but homework was taking me forever, one day I shut off my phone and did it, it took me half that time.
Typical humans like to think that they are better at things than they really are, for some reason we cannot face the facts and except that we are unable to function entirely while doing two things at once.
This article made me reconsider texting and the proper times when to do so, I feel as if it did the same for many kids that have texting. I was able to connect very well this passage, especially the texting and driving; I believe that most people can relate to multitasking while driving. Everyone can definitely relate to multitasking no matter what the circumstance is, everyone does it, and everyone thinks that their good at it.
Sincerely,

Dear Editor,
The October edition of the SilverScribe was very well done. When I was reading some of the letters to the editor, I was the one about the marching band. It got me thinking, what about orchestra? Not very many students at Riverton High actually know we have not one, but two. I think now would be a good time since many of the orchestra students are in the pit for the play “Les Miserables.” If you could write about the orchestra in the next edition that would be awesome.
Sincerely,
