films.

This course provides an overview and experience of the technical phases of theatre including lighting, sound, and management. Students in this class are responsible for running the technical
aspects of auditorium events at Riverton High. A year long course
which provides an practical experience of the technical phases of
theatre including lighting, sound, set design and construction and
school auditorium management. Students will be in charge of all
events that take place in the school auditorium including rentals,
concerts, plays, musicals and assemblies. At times, students are
required to spend after-school and evening hours as members of the
stage crew for the auditorium. An application and interview are
required to become a member of this class. Pick up an application
from Mr. Eaton in Room #1009.

Students are encouraged to take Theatre 1 first semester and Theatre
2 the second half of the year. This advanced course in theatre introduces stage make-up and Shakespearean acting. Students are given the opportunity to
participate in competitive events.
