Mac Frischknecht was awarded the Jordan Education Foundation Outstand Educator of the Year Award.
Steve Park was awarded the Outstanding Administrator Award presented by the Utah Music Educators Association
Gordon Hinckley was named the Athlethic Director of the Year by the Utah High School
2006-2007
Steve Galley named Utah State Driver's Education Teacher of the Year
Donna Hunter named Jordan Education Foundation Outstanding Education of the Year for Language Arts
Callie Brewer named 2007 Utah State Business and Computer Education Association Outstanding New Business Educator of the Year
Katie Borgmeier named FACS New Teacher of the Year for the State of Utah
Joyce Spencer named Jordan District Classified Employee of the Year
2005-2006
Steve Park, Principal, won the Huntsman Excellence in Education Award.
Bill Broderick has won one of the ten Jordan Education Foundation Awards for excellence in teaching.
Cody Henrichsen was named the was awarded a Diamond Key by the National Forensic League. He was also named Region Debate Coach of the Year and Utah State Debate Coach of the Year.
Susan Huff, media specialist at Riverton High, received the Media Specialist of
the Year award from the Utah Educational Library Media Association. The award
recognizes an individual who is making a significant contribution to library media
programs in Utah.
Sheila Ainsworth was recognized by the Brigham Young University Department of Spanish and Portuguese as its outstanding cooperating teacher. The award recognizes excellence in mentoring student teachers during their clinical experience.
2004-2005
Stephen Park, principal at Riverton High, was named president-elect of the
Utah Association of Secondary School Principals (UASSP) during the organization's
annual meeting. He will serve as the association's president during the 2006-07
school year.
Launa Jones, Child Care Lab Manager, was selected as the Jordan School District Classified Employee of the Year.
Nate Justice, physics and honors physics teacher at Riverton High School has been selected as a Jordan School District New Teacher of the Year.
Jenicee Jacobson, sociology teacher at Riverton High School was recognized as a Jordan School District Outstanding Educator of 2005.
Jeanie Anderson and Kari Crane, special education, have been nominated for inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
