Our goal is to provide comprehensive on-line Guidance Center information, links, and services to meet the needs of all Riverton High School students. The counseling center is proud to announce the addition of our PC Update (Parent-Counselor Update). RHS's Comprehensive Guidance MissionThe Mission of the Riverton High School Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program is to empower all students with the knowledge and skills they need to prepare for a productive life and find success in ways that maintain dignity and respect for themselves and others in a changing world. The program is designed to address the developmental needs of students appropriate to their age group in the areas of self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.
Our Profile CounselorsThe Riverton High School's Counseling and Guidance Center is a state-approved Comprehensive Guidance Center. Riverton's last Comprehensive Guidance Performance Site Review was conducted in December of 2003. Riverton's Comprehensive Guidance Counseling Center received nearly a perfect score for overall standards in Comprehensive Guidance, and has been considered an "Ideal Model" for other high schools state wide. Accreditation: Northwest Accreditation 2002-2003. Riverton High School is located in the Southwest quadrant of Jordan School District. Jordan School District Headquarters are located in Sandy, Utah. The community is primarily comprised of suburban residential neighborhoods, and consists of an industrial, agricultural, and farming community. Riverton High School is the newest of Jordan's 8 high schools, having been opened and established the school year of 1999 - 2000. Riverton draws from all economic levels, with a highly involved community, parents, and business partnerships, such as Intel.
Contact InformationThe Riverton High School Counseling and Guidance Center is open on all regular school days from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Guidance Center is also open on extended days during August to help assist with accommodating students' schedules and registration. Students and parents may contact a counselor via phone, email, or call the Guidance Center for general information during normal business hours.
