Utah Basic Skills Competency Test (UBSCT)

Students are required to pass all three (Math, Reading, and Writing) sections of the Utah Basic Skills Competency Test (UBSCT) to receive a regular high school diploma.  Students begin taking this standardized high school exit exam in the spring of 10th grade.  Students who pass the first time do not have to repeat the exam.  Students who do not pass, are given four additional opportunities (5 total) to pass all three sections of the exam.  Make-up dates and times are during the fall and spring each year.

Check with your counselor for UBSCT test status and test dates.
