Student Educational Occupational Plan 10th Grade: 10th graders and their parents are invited every fall during the evenings to attend conferences regarding career exploration, college planning, high school course sequence planning, graduation requirements, honorary programs at graduation, and other important post-high school academic information. 4 year plans will be reviewed, as well as, helpful information regarding applied technology, AP, and Concurrent Enrollment. SEOP Triplicate Form (PDF) 11th Grade: 11th Grade SEOP's will be held individually (20-30 minute session) with student, parent(s) and counselor during November, December and January. Parents will be notified at least a week before scheduled appointments. 12th Grade: Seniors and their parents are invited to attend an orientation during the evening of September to review graduation requirements, review a timeline of events for senior year, learn about scholarship & financial aid items/deadlines for college, and learn about technical trade and certificated programs. Seniors are also seen individually as deemed necessary either by student, parent, administrator, or counselor. Seniors have an opportunity to use UtahMentor.org in the Career Center to update current occupational assessment, review through former SEOP assessment items, list personal strengths/talents, present credit status & graduation requirements, career goals, make-up credits (if needed), research post-secondary/college placement plans (survey & interview), and review senior year course placement. Senior credit completion and status reports are also mailed home quarterly to seniors (for those deficient in credit - offline to graduate), and bi-annually for all other students to assess completion of credits in Jordan District. |
