Employability

Students will demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between school attendance and employee reliability as measured by consistent class attendance.

Students will increase their level of employability by increasing their organizational skills.

Students will master study skills which will improve their academic records and thereby increase their employability.

Students will increase their employability through improved social skills.

Life Long Learning

Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in specific academic areas designed to provide an opportunity to achieve an enhanced diploma in various academic areas.

Students will demonstrate life-long learning skills by creating and performing a senior project that has value to the student, the school and the community.

Students will have the opportunity to achieve an enhanced diploma by demonstrating life-long learning skills through activities and citizenship incentives.

Effective Communication

Students will learn what constitutes effective writing in the six areas of focus in the Trait Scoring System.

Students will demonstrate effective writing skills across the curriculum through the use of the Trait Scoring System.

Students will demonstrate greater written communication skills in their writing and on written tests by using the Trait Scoring System.

Students will learn to more effectively evaluate their own papers by using the Trait Scoring System.

Critical Thinking

Students will be able to clarify, organize and present information in technological forms that may include charts, graphs, the written word and other forms of communication.

Students will be able to utilize, evaluate and refine the use of multiple technologies to solve a variety of problems pertaining to academic, personal and employment situations.
