Le Circle Francais (French Club)

 

Faculty Advisor

Purpose

The purpose of the Riverton High School French Club is:

  • To explore the culture and language of the French-speaking people through activities, seminars, etc.
  • To develop a deeper understanding of the French speaking countries.
  • To expand horizons in things related to French. (i.e. food, clothing, sport, leisure, industry, etc.)

Meetings

The French Club shall meet once or twice a month depending on the activity and preparations thereof.

Activities

Club activities shall be once a month (see purpose).

Membership

The French Club members should be enrolled in a French class at Riverton High School, should have taken two years of French in the past, one of which was at Riverton High, and have an interest and commitment to expanding the club and it's opportunities.

Officers

President: To oversee all club operations. (i.e. activities, delegation of responsibility, equal representation of ideas, etc.)

Vice President: To take suggestions from the classes, compile them, and come up with ideas what would be fun and educational for the club.

Secretary: To take notes and minutes. Organize activity formats as to the approval of the Advisor and the club officers.

Historian: To be present at activities, take pictures, and keep a log or "scrapbook" of club activities and events.

Treasures: To keep track of income and expenditures of the club. To control responsibility of the distribution of funds.

Funds

A $5.00 fee is payable to the Main Office. Finances will be acquired from club dues, fundraisers, and other expenses that may apply. The money collected is to be used strictly for club purposes.
