Faculty Advisor

Sonya Ferrufino

Purpose

The purpose of the FFA Club is to join together students that have a common interest in some aspect of agriculture. It combines elements taught in class with practical application of that knowledge. Other students are welcome as well.

Meetings

The FFA Club officers meet the first Wednesday of each month. The general membership meets the second Wednesday of each month.

Activities

Students will be engaged in a number of competitions throughout the year. They will compete in judging livestock, horses, dairy cattle, and meats. They will have opportunities to participate in a science fair and also in speaking contests. They can win awards by keeping a record book and doing a supervised agricultural project. They will also be having social activities to promote participation in the club.

Membership

Active members shall be Riverton High School students.

Officers

The officers of the FBLA club are as follows.

President - Conduct meetings, plan activities
Vice-President - Help the president, plan activities
Secretary - Keep notes and minutes
Treasurer - Keep track of money earned and spent

Funds

Students are asked to pay $15 each year. $5 goes to the national FFA dues, $5 goes to the state FFA, and $5 stays at the school for social and other expenditures. Students are required to buy their own FFA jacket if they want one, but it is theirs to keep.
