National Honor Society for Dance Arts
Faculty Advisor
Purpose
The purpose of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is to promote and honor outstanding dance achievement at Riverton High School. Further, NHSDA hopes to encourage well-rounded dance artists to become leaders in their communities after high school graduation.
Meetings
The NHSDA will meet once each quarter for an official meeting, and bi-annually for field trips and/or workshops.
Activities
Club activities include club meetings, dance related field trips, dance workshops, and service projects.
Membership
Officers
The president oversees club meetings, assists the faculty advisor, prepares publicity for the club, and organizes club activities.
The vice president assists the faculty advisor, assists the club president, prepares information for the club, and organizes club activities
The secretary takes roll at all club meetings and activities, assists students with point accumulation, assists the faculty advisor, president and vice president.
Funds
Anticipated student dues are as follows:
$5.00 student induction fee to the state affiliate (Utah Dance Education Organization)
$15.00 adjudication fee for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award
Other expenses as dictated for travel for field trips and workshops.
Anticipated Riverton High School dues are as follows:
$150.00 institution membership fee to the National Dance Education Organization.
